The Passing of Senator Geo-Karis
Over the past two years I've had the great fortune to learn from a giant in Lake County politics. Senator Adeline Geo-Karis was a pioneer for women throughout the state and a model of public service for everyone. Whether serving our country as a Lt. Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves or serving the residents of Zion as Mayor, "Geo" leaves a strong legacy and brilliant example for us to follow.
A wake will be held at Illinois State Beach Park Conference Center in Geo-Karis State Park (1 Lake Front Dr Zion) on Friday, February 15 from 4pm to 9pm.
Funeral services are set for Saturday, February 16 for 10am at the same location.
